The ultimate cocktail to-go for any occasion – from enjoying at summer BBQs and picnics to unwinding at home, the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE ready-to-drink range will be available just in time for summer in Waitrose, Ocado and other major retailers*

[HAMILTON, BERMUDA – 12 APRIL 2021] – After the success last year of the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE & TONIC Ready-to-Drink (RTD)[1], today the brand announces the launch of two new RTD expressions, BOMBAY BRAMBLE & TONIC and BOMBAY SAPPHIRE & LIGHT TONIC. Catering to different shopper needs and occasions, the full BOMBAY SAPPHIRE RTD range offers retailers a wider portfolio. The latest expressions will appeal to both loyal fans of the premium gin brand, as well attracting new consumers to the category, who are looking for great tasting, convenient cocktail solutions in flavoured and light options. Complementing the signature BOMBAY SAPPHIRE & TONIC, these two new additions offer a superior taste experience and perfectly balanced gin cocktails in a ready-to-pour format, meaning fans can enjoy bar-quality drinks, whatever the occasion, wherever they are.

As summer arrives and the world gradually begins to reopen, there is no better time for the expansion of the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE RTD portfolio. Demand for high quality and pre-mixed drinks has grown exponentially over the past five years and is forecast to continue 32% in the next 4 years,[2] as consumers are looking for premium yet convenient options and are opting to socialize outdoors, driving the popularity of this category. Working together, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE Master of Botanicals, Ivano Tonutti and Master Distiller, Dr. Anne Brock, spent time answering the demand for more Ready-to-Drink options that do not forego quality for the sake of convenience.

The original BOMBAY SAPPHIRE & TONIC is also now available in an alternative format, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE & LIGHT TONIC offering balance-seekers a lighter drink experience without compromising on taste. BOMBAY SAPPHIRE & LIGHT TONIC is created using the brand’s iconic London Dry Gin, made with botanicals infused through a unique vapour infusion distillation – a pioneering process which ensures the gin stands out from the crowd – blended with the perfect balance of light tonic. The Light RTD responds to the growing demand for lighter drink choices, containing just 98 calories and 92% less carbohydrates than the original, whilst still delivering a refreshing and vibrant taste.

BOMBAY BRAMBLE & TONIC is a bar quality serve made with BOMBAY BRAMBLE, the brand’s bold, berry flavoured gin that launched last year, created from a rich fruit infusion of freshly harvested blackberries and raspberries. Consumer appetite for fruit flavours is still dominating the RTD category and BOMBAY BRAMBLE & TONIC is created with 100% natural colours and flavours, with the complex but beautifully balanced flavour profile of the dry gin enhanced by carbonation.

The BOMBAY SAPPHIRE ready-to-drink portfolio is best enjoyed cold, straight from the fridge and poured over ice with a refreshing squeeze of lime, or lemon for BOMBAY BRAMBLE. Whatever the occasion, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE delivers against the promise of quality, with absolutely no artificial flavours or colours added to the final product. The sleek, matte-finish packaging has been carefully designed to preserve the standard of the drink both on-shelf and once purchased. The material helps protect the liquid from sunlight keeping the G&T fresher and colder for longer and is also 100% recyclable.

BOMBAY SAPPHIRE & LIGHT TONIC will be available from retailers including Morrison’s, Ocado and Waitrose from mid-April, Nisa from May and Co-op from September. Both products will also be available to purchase at convenience stores across the UK this summer.
